There are 5 Origins to choose from:
Apprentice: Choosing Apprentice means you have trained or are being trained by a Master/Leader of a given Faction.
Enhanced: Choosing Enhanced means you have had an experience that caused you to obtain 2 Enhancement Slots. Note: See the Gear Phase for Enhancements.
Executive: Choosing Executive means you rose up or were given authority in a specific Faction.
Militant: Choosing Militant means you have joined a militaristic faction at some point in your life.
Scientist: Choosing Scientist means you pursue advancement to extremes, joining any Faction that gives you the resources for your studies.
Talent Points:
Every Origin receives a starting amount of Talent Points (TP). These points are harder to obtain than the Chosen Points (CP) you receive every session. They are expended by placing talent in a specific Talent Slot you have available.
Whether it be in Universals which are the Basic Skills, Knowledges, and/or Forms (BKFs) or in the Access you obtain which are Skills, Feats, and/or Abilities (SFAs), talent will give you greater odds at surviving the CORE!
See the Progression Phase for more information on Talent Points.
Talent with Universals:
In the Universals, spending 1 TP on them will mean you now have talent there until your Chosen's end . . . This will grant an additional bonus to the overall Universal Bonus (UB); which is just the Rank + Talent (Max of +6). Note: See the Progression Phase for more info.
You will also be granted a +3 when at advantage and a -1 when at disadvantage, as opposed to a +1 and a -3 without the talent.
Talent with Access (SFA):
When having talent with a Skill, Feat, and/or Ability inside your Access, you instead obtain a greater power that is specific to the Access chosen. Note: You can learn more about this when seeing Access Scans.
Knowledges:
Each Origin will give 4 Knowledges to choose from. You can only choose one to be your Origin Knowledge. Note: You do not get talent in this knowledge unless you spend a talent point or choose the same knowledge as your Racial Knowledge.
These Knowledges will be based off of the type of things you might learn from the path you've chosen.
Vocation Benefits:
When it comes to Origins, you will have a list of 9 out of 12 Vocations to choose a benefit from. Each Vocation comes with a single choice of benefit depending on the Origin you choose. You can only choose 1 when creating your Chosen.
Default Vocation Benefits:
Reduce the CP it costs to obtain a corresponding Vocation Skill, Feat, or Ability by your Chosen Level
Auto Talent is received in all corresponding Vocation Skills, Feats, and Abilities
A Status Score Max increases by the amount of corresponding Vocation Skills, Feats, and Abilities

Origin Factions:
Each Origin Path grants you starting gear from Factions found throughout the CORE! You can learn more about these organizations at the Faction Codex Entries.
Each Faction has a Vocation Focus & Uniform Standard. The Vocation Focus makes it easier on you to choose a faction based on which Vocation you chose. The Uniform Standard gives you spending voltz as well as starting gear.
